Regency Park Nursing & Rehabilitation Center’s longtime maintenance director Lyle Brinker will retire Dec. 31 after 27 years of service. A farewell celebration will be held Wednesday, Dec. 30, at 1:30 pm at Regency Park. All friends, coworkers and well-wishers are welcome to attend.

Brinker said he is excited to move into the next chapter of his life but knows that it’s going to be a hard transition leaving his work and all of his long-time co-workers behind. “I’ve seen a lot of changes over the years,” Brinker said. “I’m going to miss you guys. It’s really not as easy as it sounds.”

Lyle and Judy, his wife of 42 years, have a daughter Alison Brinker (husband Jason Owen) of Perry, and a son Jerred (wife Lindsey) Brinker of Grand Forks, ND.  In his retirement, Lyle will get to spend more time with his hobby of collecting, repairing, and building pocket watches! Lyle also loves to hunt and fish and he’s crazy about his dog and his grandkids.
